I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology at Aalborg University in Denmark. I have been doing research in computational music analysis, modelling music cognition and mathematical music theory since 1989. My main area of interest is compression-based geometrical models of the cognition of musical structure. My main contributions to the field have been in the development of pitch-spelling algorithms and point-set algorithms for discovering and matching musical patterns. I intend to take part in the 2013 Pattern-discovery task.
