I studied Systematic Musicology at the University of Hamburg, graduating with an M.A. on the perception and musical use of reverberation. I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Amsterdam, studying the oral transmission of folk songs. My work currently focusses melodic expectation and pattern extraction.
