2026:Presentation Deliverables
This page describes the deliverables for presenting a MIREX 2026 submission at ISMIR 2026 (Abu Dhabi, UAE, November 8–12, 2026). MIREX posters are presented in the hybrid Late-Breaking/Demo (LBD) session, so the requirements below are largely the same as the ISMIR 2026 LBD camera-ready requirements. The differences are the page limit of the extended abstract, the file names, and how to submit.

Important Dates
- Presentation form: Oct 21, 2026 (AoE)
- Deliverables: Oct 30, 2026 (AoE)
Who Should Submit
Presenting at ISMIR 2026 is optional. If you plan to present your submission, onsite or online, please send the deliverables below. Task captains who present a task captain poster send the same deliverables (poster, thumbnail and video).
Please also make sure you have filled in the MIREX 2026 Presentation Form. After Oct 21, 2026 (AoE), onsite presentation is no longer possible. You can still present online, but due to UAE regulations your video will not be played on the big screen of the LBD session.

Extended Abstract (Final Version)
If you do not send a new version, we will use the extended abstract you uploaded to the MIREX submission site. You may send a final version that differs from the uploaded one, for example with fixed formatting, clarifications, or a discussion of your MIREX results. It should still describe the system that was submitted and evaluated.
- Use the ISMIR 2026 LBD template (LaTeX:
ISMIR2026_lbd_template.tex, Word:ISMIR2026_lbd_template.docx). If the abstract you uploaded to the submission site does not follow this template, please revise it to match the template as closely as possible before sending it. - Length: 2–4 pages of content (including figures and tables), plus optional pages that contain only references. This is more lenient than the LBD limit (2+1 pages). Acknowledgements and an AI usage statement may go on the reference pages.
- Remove line numbers, if any. For LaTeX users: remove the
submissionflag in line 16 of the preamble, i.e., change\usepackage[lbd,submission]{ismir}to\usepackage[lbd]{ismir}. - Make sure that the author names, affiliations and copyright information are correct and complete. The abstract is not anonymized.
- Check spelling and grammar. Add an AI usage statement, if applicable (see the ISMIR 2026 AI Usage Policy).
We strongly encourage following accessibility best practices, especially alt text for figures. Please refer to the ISMIR 2026 accessibility guidelines.
Poster
- Orientation: landscape (required).
- Size: A0 (1,189 mm × 841 mm) or 48 × 36 inch (1,219 mm × 914 mm) at most.
- High-resolution PDF.
The LBD session is hybrid. If you present onsite, please print your poster yourself and bring it to the conference. Online posters will be attached to the results page of each task.
Thumbnail Image
- Format: PNG
- Image size: 1920 × 1080 px at most
- File size: 1 MB at most
The thumbnail is used as the preview image of your presentation.
Video
- Either a walkthrough of your poster or a demo of your system, 5 minutes or less.
- MP4 format, H.264 codec.
- File size: 350 MB or less.
- Include closed captions (see this guide), either as a separate subtitle file (
.srtor.vtt) or burned into the video.
File Naming
Name your files <Task>_<SystemName>_<item>, where <Task> is the task name without spaces and <SystemName> is the name of your system on the results page. For example:
AudioChordEstimation_MySystem_abstract.pdfAudioChordEstimation_MySystem_poster.pdfAudioChordEstimation_MySystem_thumbnail.pngAudioChordEstimation_MySystem_video.mp4(andAudioChordEstimation_MySystem_video.srt, if the captions are a separate file)
Task captains use TC as the system name, e.g., AudioChordEstimation_TC_poster.pdf. If one poster covers several of your systems, send one set of files and list all system names in your email.
How to Submit
Send an email to future-mirex@googlegroups.com by Oct 30, 2026 (AoE):
- Subject:
[MIREX 2026 Deliverables] <Task> - <SystemName> - In the email: the task, the system name(s), the presenter name(s), and whether you present onsite or online.
- Attach the files. Large files (especially the video) do not fit in an email; please share them as a download link (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive) that anyone with the link can open.
