<p><b>New page</b></p><div>Georgios Tziritas received the Diploma of Electrical Engineering in 1977 from the Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, and the Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies, the Diplôme de Docteur Ingénieur , and the Diplôme de Docteur ès Sciences, all from the Institut National Polytechnique<br />
de Grenoble, France, in 1978, 1981, and 1985, respectively. From September 1982 to August 1992 he was a researcher of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, France. From September 1992 he was Associate Professor, and since January 2003, he has been a Full Professor, at the<br />
University of Crete, Department of Computer Science. He is author of more than 120 journal and conference papers on signal and image processing,<br />
and pattern recognition. His research interests are in the areas of multimedia signal processing, image processing and pattern analysis.</div>Jdownie
